After working in journalism, communications and teaching (French as a foreign language), I discovered translation by chance in 2005, when I agreed to help a friend with an urgent project. Nearly twenty years later, I’m still in the industry, which enables me to combine my passion for writing with my interest in languages: I have lived in England, Italy and Brazil.
Today, I specialize in transcreation and marketing translations, particularly in the fields of tourism, arts & culture and human resources. I have collaborated with some of the industry's leading agencies (Lionbridge, Welocalize, Transperfect, etc.), and worked on behalf of major international groups (Google, Amazon, Airbnb, Dell...) as well as local SMEs. My experience enables me to offer copywriting services and take on the role of Language Lead.

After my studies in Literature and History, I did start my professional career as a journalist. I was writing for several french magazines on cultural topics, mainly music and cinema. I was also hosting a radio show about movies, new releases and classics.
I’m known for my wide general knowledge and this is not only because of Trivial Pursuit even if I love board games of all kinds.
Writing
As surprising as it may seem, I’m back at writing since I became active on LinkedIn, in 2021. After years of creative workshops, writing songs and drafts of all kind (and even a hidden novel), I’m now committed to a daily production, either for my communication or for myself.
I’m currently working on poems (japanese haikus to be precise) and short stories. And very exciting about my own writing schools (#smartwriting), with its 3 programs: linguistic, stylistic and creative.
Languages
Born and raised in France, I’m half-Italian, as my name shows, and half-German, from my mother’s side. But she called me Eric because it seems her family had Swedish origins.
Besides French and English, I speak fluently Italian and can handle conversations in Portuguese. But this is also because I actually lived in England (London), in Italy (Bologna) and in Brazil (Buzios, close to Rio de Janeiro). And I also know some German and did study Japanese.
