TRANSCREATION PORTFOLIO
Creative, versatile, and with a strong marketing experience, I have always been interested in transcreation, this creative approach of our art used for advertising and marketing copy. Here are some samples of projects I did handle over the last years.
Working for Marriott Bonvoy, the new loyalty program of the group, I had to find a creative way to translate this headling, while respecting the glossary where “rewards” are translated as “avantages”. I came up with this short and rhyming version, using a famous French idiomatic expression.
This META commercial was more challenging that it seems at first sight. Indeed, a literal translation wouldn’t have highlighted the impact of the VR, especially with the illustration that was chosen. That’s why I went further instead of sticking to a view-related verb.
Illustrating a partnership in between Expedia and the UEFA Champions League, this headline may look pretty straightforward. But how are the champions traveling? Since I couldn’t answer, I came up with this adaptation, who sounds good also because of the alliteration in V.
In this Nescafé commercial, the English headline was addressing the audience, which is not always easy to translate, especially if you would like something as short and sharp as the English. This is why I slightly edit the copy, which was also corresponding to the visuals illustrating different family moments.
